Toni Musta, BS, MS, is Northeast Georgia Medical Center’s (NGMC) Graduate Medical Education (GME) simulation technologist. Toni previously served as a work study at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) in Suwanee, Georgia while she was pursuing a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences with a concentration in Medical Simulation.
During her tenure at PCOM, she worked with medical, pharmacy, physician assistant, and master’s students along with local EMT programs and nursing students to enhance their communicative, medical, and diagnostic skills. In addition, she was responsible for building, programming, and running medical simulations using high fidelity mannequins, low fidelity mannequins, task trainers and moulage. She trained all programs she worked within fields such as Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics, Gynecology, Internal Medicine and Family Medicine.
Prior to her time at PCOM, Toni worked in pediatric and geriatric nursing facilities as well as in home health in Pennsylvania. In this role, she was responsible for providing full-time assistance to residents needing help with their daily activities.
Toni is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and relocated to Lawrenceville, Georgia for her Master’s degree. She and her significant other, Justin, have one daughter, Seleen, and two dogs.
