Residency Management Software Coordinator
Karen Vigueras is the residency management software coordinator for Northeast Georgia Medical Center’s Graduate Medical Education (GME) program. She was hired at Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS) in 2015 as a recruiting assistant in Human Resources (HR). In this role, she was part of the HR recruiting team that hired NGHS’s Epic team specialist who assisted with implementation of our new EMR software Epic|Care.
Before accepting her role in the GME office, Karen served on the IT technical training team as an Epic|Care credentialed trainer. In this role, she was a member of the Epic training team that trained and supported users in physician, clinical support, registration and clinical leadership roles for the systems outpatient departments.
Karen was born in Mexico but grew up in the north Georgia mountains in Rabun County. She enjoys photography and exploring new places with family and friends. She is currently working on her U.S. traveling bucket list and hopes to one day solo backpack the islands of Fiji.
Karen is thrilled to be a member of the Office of GME and eager to see how our resident programs will positively impact NGHS and our community.
