The Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville (NGMC) serves as the primary teaching site for our program. NGMC, a 557-bed flagship hospital for the Northeast Georgia Health System, is a tertiary care center serving more than one million people in 19 counties in northeast Georgia. NGMC includes a Women's and Infant's Pavilion with an 18 bed Labor and Delivery accommodating 3,325 births in the 2019 - 2020 academic year and a Level III NICU. In addition, NGMC includes a level II Trauma Center, 23 operating rooms, Emergency services, 32-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 16-bed Surgical Trauma ICU, 18-bed Cardiovascular ICU and 17-Bed Critical Care Unit. Patients receiving care at NGMC represent diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds and the full breadth of obstetric and gynecologic clinical conditions.
The Northeast Georgia Medical Center Braselton (NGMC-B) is a 100-bed hospital within the Northeast Georgia Health System. NGMC-B includes a Labor and Delivery, surgical operating rooms and Emergency services. Resident educational experiences at this site are limited to gynecologic surgical care. Residents engage in daytime operative surgical care only, without overnight on-call responsibilities.
The Longstreet Clinic (TLC) is a large multi-specialty physician group in Gainesville, GA. TLC has the only Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) practice in Northeast Georgia. The MFM practice has 5600 outpatient office visits and 3000 ultrasound exams per year. This site serves as the location for ambulatory rotations in MFM and Ultrasound. The MFM practice location is immediately adjacent to the Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC).
The Northeast Georgia Physician's Group (NGPG) is a large multi-specialty physician group under the operational arm of the Northeast Georgia Health System in Gainesville, GA. The OBGYN practice site will serve as the location for ambulatory rotations in the PGY-4 Women's Health Capstone rotation and all continuity clinics. The OBGYN practice location is immediately adjacent to the Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC).
Reproductive Biology Associates is a Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) practice in Atlanta, GA. This practice site includes ambulatory office, a surgical center and embryology lab. The practice performs 800 in vitro fertilization cycles per year. This site serves as the location for ambulatory rotations in REI.
