About

Why Family Medicine?

I chose a career in Family Medicine because I fell in love with preventative medicine. Working to improve the persons health before the onset of a chronic condition. I also loved that Family Medicine allowed me the chance to see all ages, from birth to geriatrics!

What are your fondest medical school memories?

My favorite memories in medical school were related to all the different rotations we had the chance to do. From inpatient medicine to pediatrics and general surgery, I found myself falling in love with my career more and more every day. Meeting a whole new set of doctors, nurses and patients every month was something I really enjoyed.

Why NGMC?

As a medical student I had the opportunity to complete many of my rotations at NGMC. I consistently finished my days feeling inspired. I could feel the passion from all the doctors and nursing staff to go above and beyond for every single patient. I look forward to working with – and for – the members of this community to improve the overall health and wellness, while simultaneously building new relationships based in trust, compassion, and determination.

What activities did you do in high school?

I played lacrosse in high school and absolutely loved being on the field. The competitive nature of the sport combined with the sense of family within our team created long lasting memories I still cherish to this day.

What do you like to do outside of medicine?

In my free time, I enjoy hiking the Georgia mountains and trying new restaurants. My husband and I have loved exploring the new restaurant scene in the rapidly growing Gainesville square.

Any special medical interests?

I have a special interest in obesity medicine and prenatal care!
