Why did you choose a career in Family Medicine?
I like preventative care as well as active medical management. Often times, I think screening and attempting to foresee and manage any possible issues is more impactful. I also like to work with a variety of conditions. There is no limit to what I may treat in Family Medicine.
What are some of your fondest memories of medical school?
I went to medical school on the island of Dominica, the beaches are beautiful and the local cuisine is great, so I would have to say going to the local beaches and market with friends is a great memory!
What drew you to pursue the Family Medicine Residency program with NGMC?
I’m from Georgia, so I wanted somewhere close to home but still not incredibly far from my brother and sister in Texas.
What were your favorite clubs/activities in high school?
Chorus, science clubs and Rotaract!
What are your hobbies?
I like to listen to music and watch movies.
Do you have a special interests in the field of Family Medicine?
I’m interested in mental health – ADHD and anxiety, specifically.
What is strangest diagnosis you ever encountered?
Vanishing Lung Syndrome
