About

Dr. Allaire graduated in 1989 from Princeton University with an AB in Molecular Biology. He then received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Emory University School of Medicine in 1993, also completing his four-year residency there with the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics in 1997. Dr. Allaire went on to earn an MSPH the following year from the University of North Carolina (UNC) with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and completed his fellowship at UNC as well, in 2000.

Dr. Allaire began his medical career as a member of the armed forces serving as the director of the Mother and Care Center at the National Naval Center in Bethesda, Maryland. In 2004, his military career sent him to Honolulu, Hawaii where he served as chief at the Antepartum Diagnostic Center Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Tripler Army Medical Center.

Dr. Allaire retired from the Army as a lieutenant colonel and began his civilian career in 2004 as a perinatologist at Maternal-Fetal Specialties in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2006 he partnered with Longstreet Clinic in Gainesville, Georgia and established the perinatology program there. He is board certified in maternal-fetal medicine as well as in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Allaire’s keen interest in perinatal medicine started when he worked as summer aide during college at a Habilitative Center for Children and Adults with developmental disabilities. Given this opportunity to work with people with a varying array of genetic issues, he honed his career in obstetrics to specialize in perinatology due to the strong linkage of genetics to problematic pregnancies. To this end, he has authored and co-authored numerous research articles. Dr. Allaire is also the recipient of many awards recognizing his expertise and dedication to maternal medicine, including multiple years being recognized by Atlanta Magazine as one the top doctors in the Atlanta metro area.

Dr. Allaire is the youngest of thirteen children. He is married to his wife Sybil and has five children; Ada, Ali, Sage, Michael and Davis. When time permits, he enjoys winter skiing vacations with his family and in the summer, he prefers wakeboarding and family boating.
