We’re excited to introduce the Chief Residents for our General Surgery residency program, Dr. Ryan Anderson and Dr. Molly McNamee! Hear what it means for them personally to be Chiefs in our blog below.
I am honored to be given this opportunity to be a Chief Resident at the General Surgery program. My goal as Chief is to provide support to my fellow residents. I aim to be the go-to person they rely on for guidance and to mitigate the additional stress that often accompanies residency.
— Dr. Anderson
As a Chief, I am incredibly excited about the opportunity to take on a leadership role and make a tangible impact on our surgical team. I look forward to mentoring my peers, sharing knowledge, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and patient-centered care. This role gives me the opportunity to provide support and guidance to fellow residents who may be experiencing stress or burnout. Recognizing the challenges and pressures that come with surgery residency, I wish to create a supportive environment where fellow residents feel heard and encouraged.
— Dr. McNamee
Outside of work, Dr. Anderson enjoys fishing, hiking, playing arcade games, bowling and spending time with his wife and kids. Dr. McNamee also enjoys outdoor activities as well as playing sports and watching Netflix.
