Dr. Bahnmiller wanted to a doctor her entire life. She was so passionate about her pursuit that she personally funded her undergraduate and medical school education. She started her career as a radiology technologist while she finished her bachelor’s degree. Although it was hard work and took a lot of sacrifices to make it happen, it has made her a better physician.
Dr. Bahnmiller is excited to teach residents because this provides her the opportunity to share her passion for medicine and what she has learned during her time as a clinician. She currently teaches and mentors medical students (from both MD and DO programs), physician assistant students and nurse practitioner students from a variety of schools, including Mercer University School of Medicine and Georgia Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Her goal is to help mold future physicians into well-rounded and excellent providers who truly care.
Dr. Bahnmiller is originally from Michigan. She is happily married with three children and four dogs. She loves living in Georgia because of the weather – it allows her to spend a lot of time on the lake.
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
