About

Nechol Allen, MD, FACS, FASCRS, is a colorectal surgeon with Northeast Georgia Physicians Group. She offers expertise in advanced surgical treatment of colon, rectal, and anal conditions, emphasizing minimally invasive and robotic techniques for faster recovery and improved comfort.

Dr. Allen evaluates and treats a wide range of conditions, from common issues like hemorrhoids and fissures to complex cases such as colorectal cancers, inflammatory bowel disease, and rectal prolapse. She performs a full spectrum of colorectal procedures, including surgeries for cancer, diverticular disease, and complex anorectal conditions.

Dr. Allen completed her medical degree at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine before training in General Surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She went on to complete fellowship training in Minimally Invasive Surgery at Emory University and advanced fellowship training in Colon and Rectal Surgery at Ochsner Clinic, building the foundation for her expertise in both conventional and robotic surgical approaches.

Known for her technical skill and ability to translate complex conditions into clear, compassionate guidance, Dr. Allen is committed to helping patients feel understood and empowered in their care. Outside the operating room, she enjoys traveling, exploring new restaurants, listening to audiobooks, and spending time in her garden.
