About

How did you learn about GME?

I had some understanding of GME when I was with the Hospitalist workgroup at NGMC. We had academic hospitalists that we handled schedules and pay for and had to know the difference between them and our other hospitalists. I spoke with some folks internally and knew this was a program I wanted to be a part of!

Tell us a bit more about your professional background.

I started with NGHS back in 2014 as a PCT and worked for seven years in that role, primarily on the Bariatric unit. In June 2021, I was fortunate to be able to transition to the Hospitalist workgroup as a Inpatient Coordinator. I spent two and half years working the administrative side of that group. During my time with the Hospitalists, I was able to complete my MBA with an emphasis in healthcare management as well. The relationships built during my time with Hospital Medicine made it very difficult to move, but they were more than supportive and understood the growth opportunity with GME!

What are you most looking forward to about working with residents and fellows?

I look forward to seeing their workflows and understanding their processes. Residency and fellowship is no walk in the park, so I’d like to be someone they can lean on and make a difference in their training experiences.

What do you like to do in your free time?

In my free time I like to golf, fish, and spend quality time with my wife and two Labrador retrievers (Cash & Collins). They help me achieve the work life balance.
