Zachary George, MD, FACC, FSCAI, is a highly experienced interventional cardiologist and has been an early adopter of novel interventional cardiology technology. During his years practicing in South Carolina, he was the first physician in the state to use the Impella heart pump and the Diamondback system, and he has been a primary site investigator for a host of other devices and procedures.
He began and completed his training at the Indiana University School of Medicine’s Krannert Institute of Cardiology, including a three-year general cardiology fellowship, one year as Chief Fellow of Cardiology, and a one-year interventional fellowship. He has served as an attending interventional cardiologist at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital in South Carolina and Revere Health St. George Hospital in Utah, and he holds a position as assistant professor of clinical medicine at the University of South Carolina.
