Northeast Georgia Medical Center – Gainesville OBGYN

The Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville (NGMC) serves as the primary teaching site for our program. NGMC, a 557-bed flagship hospital for the Northeast Georgia Health System, is a tertiary care center serving more than one million people in 19 counties in northeast Georgia. NGMC includes a Women’s and Infant’s Pavilion with an 18 bed Labor and Delivery accommodating 3,325 births in the 2019 – 2020 academic year and a Level III NICU.

In addition, NGMC includes a level II Trauma Center, 23 operating rooms, Emergency services, 32-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 16-bed Surgical Trauma ICU, 18-bed Cardiovascular ICU and 17-Bed Critical Care Unit. Patients receiving care at NGMC represent diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds and the full breadth of obstetric and gynecologic clinical conditions.
