About

Dr. Erin Harvath was born and raised in Delaware before she made her journey to the wild in the wonderful state of West Virginia for medical school. She loves the outdoors and especially enjoys hiking and trail running when she is not busy tearing her ankle ligaments during said activities. Dr. Harvath is currently an officer in the Air National Guard, and she’s grateful to be able to serve both her country and  West Virginia in some fashion. She also has a fascination with military aircraft and hopefully will be seen flying the skies with her unit in the near future.

What do you like to do in your free time?
I like to vegetate on the sofa watching documentaries, bake and eat unhealthy foods, hike and run outdoors in my free time.

Tell us an interesting fact about you.
Since undergrad, I have not routinely checked my grades as I believe this only adds stress, if I have already tried my best. I never looked at my MCAT score or individual test grades during medical school. And I still do not know some of my board scores, which I prefer to keep that way!

What’s a unique skill you have that you don’t think anyone else in the residency will have?
No real unique skill but I often essentially eat my weight in most sugary foods and still manage to have a functioning pancreas with normal A1c (for now).
