About
Why did you choose career in family medicine?
In high school I was able to shadow a local Family Physician, Dr. Thomas. Observing the relationships he had built and the impact he had in my community really sparked my interest in Family Medicine. Thats when I knew that this was my calling.
What are some of your fondest memories of medical school?
Beaches in Barbados after test day! Lifelong friends that helped me get through it.
What drew you to pursue Family Medicine Residency Program with NGMC?
NGMC was one of my first interviews, I instantly fell in love with the faculty. The opportunities and resources provided are the best you’ll see. Also, a growing city close to the mountains, lake Lanier, and quick access to Braves games! As a Georgia native I have always wanted to work/practice in Georgia, so naturally it is where I wanted to train.
What were your favorite clubs/activities in high school?
Swim team and Band
What are your hobbies?
Fishing, Duck Hunting, watching the Braves, hanging out with my wife and little boy!
Do you have a special interest in the field of family medicine (psychiatric patients, heart disease, management, etc.)?
Chronic disease management, recently been interested in learning more about Obesity Medicine and Diabetes.
