About

Dr. Angel was raised in Suwanee, Georgia. Her love for medicine began in high school where she spent a summer as a teen volunteer at Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC). It was here that her commitment to medicine solidified.

Dr. Angel obtained a bachelor’s degree from Georgia State University and her master’s degree from Walden University, where she was part of forming Upsilon Phi Delta honor society. She obtained her medical degree from IAU College of Medicine and was awarded the University Honors scholarship. During medical school, Dr. Angel was heavily involved with her community and formed part of the American Medical Student Association. Dr. Angel is interested in improving medication adherence among patients with chronic conditions.

Dr. Angel met her husband during medical school and together they have three dogs. A former Atlanta Falcons Cheerleader, Dr. Angel enjoys dance and yoga.

“What stood out the most about NGMC GME was the honest passion for teaching that the program faculty displayed. I am lucky to be able to return to Georgia and serve my community as an NGMC Family Medicine resident!
