Medical Interests

I’m interested in how to integrate technology in medicine such as smart health devices; Food as medicine; preventative medicine; alternative or Eastern medicine including but not limited to acupuncture or cupping; evidence-based medicine to provide mathematical confidence for medical decisions.


Dr. Nathaniel Kim is excited to continue his medical training at Northeast Georgia Medical Center! Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Dr. Kim graduated with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, focusing on nanotechnology, from Northwestern University. He received his medical degree from Indiana School of Medicine.

Dr. Kim enjoys a wide range of activities – running, golf, biking, football, soccer, tennis, basketball, skiing, snowboarding, and volleyball. He also enjoys cooking, eating, and traveling all over the world! He’s visited France, Japan, Korea, Portugal, Brazil, Iceland, Spain, China, the United Kingdom, Italy, Togo, and Mexico,  just to name a few! Dr. Kim makes time for music as well, including piano, violin, guitar, and singing.

What are your goals during residency training?

I’m interested in exploring artificial intelligence and deep neural networks; nanomedicine applications; preventative medicine; alternative medicine; Eastern medicine; food as medicine; evidence-based medicine.
