About

1. What inspired you to pursue psychiatry and what are your clinical interests within psychiatry?

I have always been fascinated by the complexity of the human mind and the profound impact that mental health has on overall well-being. My decision to pursue psychiatry stems from a desire to understand the intersection of biology, psychology, and social factors in shaping human behavior. I am particularly drawn to Inpatient Psychiatry, as I enjoy the challenge of managing acute crises and the rewarding process of stabilizing patients during their most vulnerable moments. I find the fast-paced, multidisciplinary nature of the inpatient unit to be an ideal environment for clinical growth and impactful intervention.

2. What do you enjoy most about being part of this residency program?

What stands out most about this program is the emphasis on direct patient care and the high level of collaborative supervision. The faculty are incredibly approachable, creating a culture where I feel supported while still having the autonomy to develop my clinical voice. The overall program format is thoughtfully structured, balancing rigorous clinical experience with dedicated didactic time. Being part of a team that prioritizes both resident education and high-quality patient outcomes has made my training experience incredibly fulfilling.

3. What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

Outside of my clinical responsibilities, I prioritize spending quality time with my family and friends. Whether it’s sharing a meal, exploring the local community, or simply catching up, these connections provide the balance and support I need to stay energized. I find that staying grounded through my personal relationships helps me bring more empathy and focus to my work with patients.
