Why did you pursue this field?
I’m originally from Canada, but I did my medical school in Ireland, and I really wanted to do my residency in the US or Canada. During med school, I felt that I was more fitted for the Internal Medicine program, so I went forward with that.
What are some daily habits/rituals you have?
Talking on the phone with my family back home and playing with my cats.
Any advice for students interested in medicine?
Don’t pick a specialty right away. Don’t pick something off one experience; keep an open mind and make sure to seek out your interests.
