Dr. Baleguli received her medical degree from K.S. Hegde Medical Academy, Nitte University in Mangalore, India.
She has worked as a junior resident in the Department of Community Medicine at Kanachur Institute of Medical Sciences, also in Mangalore, India. She is a member of the voluntary humanitarian organization, Indian Redcross Society and also the Indian Medical Association.
Dr. Baleguli’s interests involve diabetes and obesity, and she has been published several times in peer reviewed journals on these topics as well.
Dr. Baleguli is the recipient of the Rajya Puraskar award – the highest award in her state, given by The Bharath Scouts and Guides Foundation, a volunteer
organization. This is the equivalent of the Girl Scouts organization in the United States. She has also won several medals in athletics.
