BREAST, WOUND, AND PLASTIC CHIEF

As Chief Resident, on the Breast, Wound, and Plastic Rotation, the Resident will perform, under appropriate graduated supervision, ultrasound-guided and stereotactic biopsies, simple mastectomy, modified radical mastectomy, Skin-sparing mastectomy, nipple-sparing mastectomy, lumpectomy with appropriate margins for DCIS and invasive cancer, axillary dissection, sentinel node dissection, excisional breast biopsy, wire-localized excision biopsy, and related procedures of the breast. Residents will participate in wound clinic once a week and learn the basics of wound care.
