Curriculum

The Northeast Georgia Medical Center Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship program is designed to help fellows develop their clinical skills, foster strong relationships with colleagues and pursue their career goals.

The curriculum follows a block schedule with required and elective rotations. The educational experience is enhanced by lectures, journal clubs, morning report, research presentations and continuing medical education symposiums.

As fellows progress in skills and knowledge, their clinical and patient management responsibilities increase. Attending faculty members provide graded supervision and work closely with fellows to help them achieve established course objectives and competency goals. Fellows also will gain leadership skills as they provide supervision of residents and advanced practice providers. At all times, the fellows will work closely with an attending.
