Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC)
NGMC Gainesville is the 629-bed flagship hospital of Northeast Georgia Health System. Since first opening its doors in 1951, NGMC Gainesville has grown to offer capabilities in care such as:
- Level I Trauma Center
- 28 operating rooms
- Emergency services (located on the ground floor of the Green Tower)
- Women & Children’s Pavilion with Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- Level 2 Pediatric Readiness Center with specialized pediatric emergency and inpatient services
NGMC Gainesville is the anchor site for General Surgery residents and the majority of rotations will be here, including Trauma, Acute Care Surgery, General Surgery (general, endocrine, breast, surgical oncology, hepatopancreatobiliary, endoscopy), Thoracic Surgery, Vascular Surgery and ICU.
As the state’s sixth-largest physician group, NGPG bring together hundreds of talented physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, midwives and other clinical staff in locations extending across North Georgia.
