Welcome to the NGMC Hospice and Palliative Medicine (HPM) Fellowship. Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) has constructed an exciting new opportunity for aspiring palliative providers looking to improve their own practice or change their career field altogether. This community hospital houses a robust graduate medical education program with ample resources for research and electives. We’re the perfect mix—a small-town feel with grand academic goals.
As one of NGMC’s first fellowship programs, hospice and palliative medicine is blazing the trail for physicians who want to deepen their clinic prowess in this rapidly growing field. Our HPM fellowship will groom physicians to provide high-quality, empathetic care that aligns with patient values and priorities. Our facility delivers inpatient, ambulatory and home palliative services as well as home hospice and inpatient hospice. Our services have been recognized by administration during the COVID-19 pandemic as an outstanding contribution to inpatient care, and we hear those compliments echo from our referral sources across the health system.
